Her work is amazing! My favorite piece so far is Winter Muertos on her site! Although she does pull aspects of retro, vintage, burlesque, and pin-up in her photography pieces, her style is obviously her own. Gayla primarily focuses on high concept work. She is obviously very busy and states she often works 90 hour weeks. I had originally posted Gayla's work a few months ago after seeing Courtney Love's tweet mentioned below. Now it looks like her Austin popularity has grown with a Feb cover shot on Austin's Magazine - RARE. Courtney Socially Loves Gayla - Courtney Love who is coming to Austin this year for SXSW 2010 is also a fan of this artistic Austinite. She gave shout-outs to Gayla's work earlier this year on Twitter. Here is her post,@Courtneylover79 " 'i just love gaylas work at @666photography you mad little poppets who dont know what you do you should use her, shes awesome,' which linked to this amazing picture http://twitpic.com/esszx. Gayla Partridge Winter Muertos RARE Features 666Photography - Gayla is also mentioned on the front cover of RARE, and Austin based magazine who keeps Austin residents intouch with the essence of the city. On the Feb '10 cover her Summer Muertos art is pictured. In the article the Austin photographer states, "Our whole goal is to make women feel more beautiful than she ever has." Gayla goes on to say that most of her customers come to her for two reasons,"for the most part it is tied to love of someone else or love of themselves."
